Wayne Man Arrested, Charged with DWI in Bloomingdale

Driver's vehicle was impounded.

Kyle Ruffing, 19, of Wayne, was arrested Feb. 9 on DWI charges in Bloomingdale, police said.

According to Bloomingdale police, Ruffing was operating a motor vehicle on Hamburg Turnpike at around 10:15 p.m. when Patrolman Steven Smith stopped his vehicle. Police said Ruffing exhibited signs of usage of a controlled dangerous substance and was arrested. 

Ruffing was transported to the police station and charged with driving while intoxicated, failing to show documents and several additional violations, police said. Police said he was released to a family member with a ticket to appear in court. Police also said his vehicle was impounded and that Sgt. Michael Boffa assisted with the arrest.
