Wayne FD Fights Office Fire Twice

A firefighter suffered a minor injury Saturday while responding to the blaze the first time, report says.

Firefighters in Wayne experienced a bit of déjà vu Saturday morning as they responded to back-to-back fires at the same township location, NorthJersey.com reported.

According to the report, a fire first broke out at the Doig Road office building at about 2:10 a.m. Crews were called back out to the scene at about 10:30 a.m. when it rekindled, the report said.

“A hotspot flared up,” Wayne Police Sgt. First Class Peter Pohludka told NorthJersey.com. “That happens sometimes.”
