Two Brothers From Wayne Arrested In Pennsylvania For Gun And Drug Charges

Adam A. Curry and Brian A. Curry of Wayne were arrested in Stroudsburg on multiple gun and drug charges.

Two Wayne brothers were taken into custody Wednesday in Stroudsburg, Pennsylvania for allegedly possessing heroin and a gun at the Flower Field Motel.

Stroud Area Regional Police learned that Adam A. Curry, 25, was wanted in New Jersey for a parole violation and had information that he was staying at the motel.

Police responded to the motel about 6 a.m. to investigate.  According to poconorecord.com, the door was answered by Brian A. Curry, 26, who was found to be in possession of a bundle of heroin, police said, and Adam Curry was found hiding under a bed.

Police say drug paraphernalia and a firearm holster were observed in plain view. Officers were issued a search warrant and seized a Kel-Tec 9 mm semi-automatic handgun, 130 bags of suspected heroin and related drug paraphernalia.

Both Currys had prior criminal arrests that would prohibit them from possessing a firearm, police said.

Adam Curry was charged with being a fugitive from justice. Both brothers also received five additional charges, including: possession with intent to deliver a controlled substance; possession of a controlled substance; possession of drug paraphernalia; persons not to possess, use, manufacture, control, sell or transfer firearms; and possession of firearms not to be carried without a license. Both Curry brothers had prior criminal charges that would prohibit possession of a firearm, police said.

Both men are in Monroe County Correctional Facility in lieu of $100,000 bail, with Adam Curry having additional bail of $50,000 for being a fugitive, police said.
