Police: LSD, Ecstasy Found in 22-Year-Old's Vehicle

Officers respond to a report of a group of people in a park on Demarest Drive.

A 22-year-old Lincoln Park woman was charged with drug possession after a Wayne police officer responded to a complaint about a group of people using drugs in a local park.

Officer Ken Hart was dispatched to a report of a group of people using drugs in a park on Demarest Drive, Capt. James Clarke said.

Upon arriving, Hart observed six individuals sitting on a park bench, including Joanne Stoddard, 22, of Lincoln Park, Clarke said.

Hart observed signs of marijuana use and, after a search, found Stoddard to be in possession of four zip-close bags containing marijuana, along with a pipe, Clarke said.

Clarke said LSD and Ecstasy were found in Stoddard’s vehicle.

Stoddard was arrested, transported to Wayne Police Headquarters, and booked on three counts of drug possession and one count of possession of drug paraphernalia, Clarke said.
