Police Looking For Kmart Shoplifter

Man reportedly stole a computer and monitor Friday afternoon valued at more than $500.

Wayne Police are looking for a man who reportedly stole more than $500 in merchandise from shortly before 4 p.m. Friday.

reported that a sales associate at the store found security tags for electronics equipment on a shelf in the store.

Andrew Duck, a loss prevention officer with the store, reviewed security tapes and found that a man placed a computer and monitor in a shopping cart and then cut the security tags off of them before walking about the front door, police reported.

Police reported the merchandise is valued at $578.

Police describe the man as Hispanic, 5 foot 9-inchs tall with a medium build. The man reportedly wore a dark coat, police said.

Police released two photos taken from video footage of the man walking out of the store with the merchandise.
