Entry Gained Through Window in Alleged Home Invasion

Residents report hearing noise coming from their bedroom at about 3:30 a.m. Monday morning.

The owners of an Ambassador Drive residence reported an attempted home invasion early Monday morning, according to .

The residents said they were watching television at about 3:30 a.m. when they heard a noise come from their bedroom, Det./Sgt. Al Strumolo said.

Strumolo said the homeowners reported that entry was gained into the bedroom through an open window and there was no forced entry into the residence.

The residents reported seeing a man running down the street after they heard the noise, Strumolo said. He also said a silver briefcase may have been taken.

Authorities have made several arrests stemming from a string of burglaries in town .

Little Falls Police charged Ronald Catti with burglary late last month after Wayne Police say they observed him break into a home. He in a children’s playhouse in Wayne after he attempted to flee from police. Two women  in mid-June after they allegedly broke into an abandoned home on Brookside Road.

All five arrests stemmed from residents calling police.

A resident who lives nearby said she was unaware of the incident and that she would now lock her door and windows.
