Police: Burglary Reported on Garside Avenue Tuesday

More than $7,000 worth of jewelry reportedly taken from residence.

Police are investigating a residential burglary reported on Garside Avenue Tuesday.

The homeowner found several pieces of jewelry and cash missing from the residence when he arrived home shortly 5 p.m., Officer Douglas Itien reported.

Police said the jewelry was valued at more than $7,000.

Itjen reported that the homeowner left the residence at approximately 8 a.m. Tuesday.

The report states that there appeared to be forced entry into the residence because a screen was popped out of a bathroom window.

Itjen said he spoke to a neighbor who was home most of the day and did not see any suspicious activity at the residence.
