Motorcyclist Dies After Saturday Crash

The accident occurred just after 2 p.m.

A New York City man was killed Saturday afternoon after crashing into a guardrail on Route 23 South, said Lt. Paul Dring.

Sanjay Sen, 36, was traveling south on Route 23 shortly after 2 p.m. and was getting onto the exit ramp for Route 80 East when he failed to maintain his lane and struck a guardrail, Dring said in a statement. 

Sen sustainted severe head trauma when he lost control and was separated from the motorcyle, Dring said.

The Wayne First Aid Squad transported Sen to St. Joseph's Medical Center in Paterson where he was pronounced dead at 3:34 p.m., Dring said.

Anyone who may have witnessed the crash or has any information regarding the incident should call the Wane Police traffic bureau at 973-633-3520.
