Traffic Stop Leads to Heroin Charge

Woman pulled over for driving with an obstructed windshield; told police she was hiding heroin in her pants.

A woman was charged with possession of heroin after a traffic stop on Hamburg Turnpike Wednesday, Wayne said.

Jamie Ezzo was pulled over shortly before 2 p.m. because she had items hanging from her rear-view mirror, Officer Vincent Ricciardelli said in a report.

When questioning Ezzo, Ricciardelli reported that he noticed Ezzo was hiding a syringe under her shirt.

In his report, Ricciardelli stated that Ezzo told him she was hiding heroin in her pants.

The report stated that Ezzo removed 10 glassine bags of heroin that were stamped with the words, “the cure” on them from her pants.

Ezzo was booked and charged at Wayne Police Headquarters with possession of heroin and possession of a syringe; she was also issued summonses for driving with a obstructed windshield and for operating a motor vehicle while in possession of a controlled dangerous substance.
