Man Walking on Highway On-Ramp Killed

Man was walking on the Route 80 ramp heading to Route 46 late Saturday night when he was struck by a car and later died.

A 21-year-old Wayne man walking on a Route 80 on-ramp was struck and killed by a car late Friday night and later died, NJ.com reported.

Michael Pascrell was walking on the right side of a ramp leading to Rout 46 at about 10:15 p.m., when an unidentified driver struck Pascrell, state police told the website.

Pascrell died at St. Joseph's hospital at 12:35 a.m. Saturday morning, police said.

The driver was not charged, however authorities are investigating the incident.

Pascrell was a 2010 graduate of Wayne Valley High School and enrolled at Rider University, NorthJersey.com reported. He was the cousin of Rep. Bill Pascrell Jr. (D-Paterson).
