Man Walking on Highway On-Ramp Killed

Man was walking on the Route 80 ramp heading to Route 46 late Saturday night when he was struck by a car and later died.

A 21-year-old Wayne man walking on a Route 80 on-ramp was struck and killed by a car late Friday night and later died, NJ.com reported.

Michael Pascrell was walking on the right side of a ramp leading to Rout 46 at about 10:15 p.m., when an unidentified driver struck Pascrell, state police told the website.

Pascrell died at St. Joseph's hospital at 12:35 a.m. Saturday morning, police said.

The driver was not charged, however authorities are investigating the incident.

Pascrell was a 2010 graduate of Wayne Valley High School and enrolled at Rider University, NorthJersey.com reported. He was the cousin of Rep. Bill Pascrell Jr. (D-Paterson).

Condolences to the family. RIP to the young man. To the writer, the accident occurred Friday, not Saturday night, as the headline stated: "Man was walking on the Route 80 ramp heading to Route 46 late Saturday night when he was struck by a car and later died." The correct spelling of his name is Michael, not: "Micahel Pascrell"

Dan. I suggest the Patch invests in a spell check for you. Always many spelling errors in your articles. Is this a professional paper? Deep condolences to the family. Horrible tragedy.

My prayers go to Theresa and her family. I can't even begin to imagine what they are all going through. My daughter is friends with Theresa and our hearts and prayers are with her at this very difficult time! As for Dan, I think you do a wonderful job keeping the Wayne residents up to date with everything, thank you.
