Man Robs 7-Eleven at Gunpoint Tuesday, Police Say

Man stole $135 from the store.

A gunman robbed the 7-Eleven on Valley Road early Tuesday morning, police reported.

The man stole $135 from the store, NorthJersey.com reported.

Officer Barry Cole was driving past the parking a lot of the Valley Brook Shopping Center at about 12:40 a.m. when he noticed the clerk acting strangly, Capt. James Clarke told the website.

Cole entered the store, asking if there was a problem; the clerk told him that the gunman had just left and ran up McDonald Drive, police reported.

Police did not find the man.

Clarke could not be reached for additional comment.
