Judge Increases Alleged Burglar's Bail

Ronald Catti is believed to be connected to series of North Jersey break-ins.

A state judge increased bail Tuesday for Ronald Catti, the man suspected in a rash of burglaries in Wayne, NorthJersey.com reported.

Ronald Catti’s bail was initially set at $150,000 out of Wayne and $75,000 out of Lincoln Park, but state Judge Raymond Reddin increased the bail to $200,000 in both instances for a total of $400,000.

It was reported last week that Catti posted the original bail amount of $225,000. He remains incarcerated at the Passaic County jail on an outstanding warrant charge out of New York.

Authorities attempted to stop the Mercedes Benz Catti was driving after Wayne and Little Falls police determined Catti committed a burglary in Little Falls Monday afternoon, Wayne police said. Catti was attempting to return to a house he was staying at on Pleasantview Drive.

Authorities in the backyard of a residence on Kossouth Place late last month, Wayne police said.
