Man took chains and bracelets, police said.

A man reportedly stole chains and bracelets from the Route 46 Diamond Jewelry Exchange Friday night, NorthJersey.com reported.

The website reported that the man examined the jewelry like he was considering buying it but ran out of the store and drove away, Detective Sgt. Al Strumolo told the website.

Police said the jewelry had a “large dollar value,” the website reported, but did not determine the exact amount.
