Fire Department Hosts Fire Prevention Open House

Residents can watch several demonstrations and learn about practical steps they can take to present fires at home.

Residents can see live a live demonstration of a kitchen fire and extracting someone from a car accident at open house at Fire Co. 4 on Sunday, Oct. from 10 a.m. to 3 p.m.

The open house will focus on how to prevent fires.

Several live demonstrations will be given:

Noon: How a kitchen fire can start

1 p.m.: Extracting a car accident victim from a vehicle.

Attendees can learn about the various fire apparatuses the department uses.

Presentations on fire safety and an information table with safety tips, activities for children, and membership information will be available.
