Update: Fire Damages Kurland Street House

No one was home during blaze Monday.

No one was hurt in a fire that damaged a Kurland Street home, Police Capt. James Clarke said.

Clarke said an electrical line located in the home's garage sparked and started the fire. He said police investigators found nothing suspicious at the scene. The garage was completely destroyed.

Firefighters responded to the blaze shortly before 10 p.m.

The home is located in one of the township's most severely hit flood areas. The homeowners are not living in the home due to flood damage.
