Duo Accused of Using Phony Credit Cards at Wayne Bloomingdales

Two men were arrested after allegedly fleeing the store with fake credit cards and merchandise.

The Wayne Police Department arrested two Willowbrook Mall shoppers after the duo allegedly used phony credit cards to buy items from Bloomingdales, NorthJersey.com reported.

According to the report, cops received a call at about 5:30 p.m. last Friday reporting two men and a woman making purchases in a “suspicious manner” at the store. The suspects were spotted on surveillance video getting into a car and leaving the mall, the report said. 

When cops pulled them over, the two men ran, leading police on a foot pursuit in Wayne, the report said.

When cops caught up to the duo and brought them back to the car, they found numerous fraudulent credit cards on the ground and along the pursuit, the report said. Cops also found packages of merchandise in the car, it said.

Michael Richiez-Camacho, 25, and Rubin Bario Ortega-Cabrera, 26, both of New York, were arrested and charged with possession of fraud credit cards, the report said. The woman has not been charged, it said.

According to the report, the purchases will be returned to Bloomie’s .
