Driver, Victim ID'd in Fatal Pedestrian Strike

25-year-old driver from Wayne has been charged with a third-degree crime, report says.

Police have identified a 39-year-old Passaic woman as the victim of an early morning crash on Route 3 in Clifton Monday, and a 25-year-old Wayne man as the one driving the car that killed her, NorthJersey.com reported.

According to the report, the victim was Fiordaliza DeLeon, who was walking in a lane of traffic when she was struck and killed.

Police say they are unsure why she was in the area and on the road at about 3 a.m. when she was hit, but are continuing to investigate it, the report said.

The driver has been identified as Kyuwon Lee, who cops say was driving with a suspended license when he hit the woman, the report said. He was arrested and charged with causing a death while driving with a suspended license, a third-degree crime, the report said.

Lee has since been released from jail on $15,000 bail, the report said.

Seriously, who calls them freeways around here?
Thomas Vigilante March 07, 2014 at 07:47 AM
@ Ed Zachary, Born and raised in NJ buddy. I called it a freeway because I felt like using that term at the time. Does it matter what vocabulary I use?? I'm not you, I may not talk the way you do because I am me and you are you. And judging from your crappy pointless attitude I'm glad I am not like you. So go though life having fun looking and acting like a moron.

Very nice, Thomas. Sensitive, eh? I still contend that Rt. 3 is not a freeway. Freeways have controlled access and exits. There are many places on Rt. 3 where you can pull directly into/out of the parking lot of a store. That is not controlled access. Rt. 80 is a freeway. Rt. 3 is not.
