Car Stolen, 2 More Burglarized Near Packanack Lake

Cash, speakers were stolen out of unlocked vehicles.

A car was stolen and two others were broken into in the Packanack Lake section of town in the past few days, police said.

A Seminole Avenue resident reported his gold 2003 Acura TL was stolen from his driveway between 6 p.m. Saturday and 7:45 a.m. Sunday, Detective Capt. James Clarke said. The vehicle was found parked at the end of the West Belt highway at 7:32 a.m. Monday.

An Osborne Terrace resident reported at 1 a.m. Sunday that an Outback gift card, wireless speakers, a Visa card, and $80 were stolen from unlocked vehicles in the resident’s driveway, Clarke said.

Another Osborne resident reported at 2 a.m. that his vehicle was ransacked but that nothing was stolen.
