Broken Water Main Closes Valley Road
DPW personnel were on the scene repairing the pipe. Roadway was expected to be closed for hours.
A water main broke on Valley Road Thursday night, causing its closure in certain sections. Personnel on the scene said they expected the road to remain closed into late night/early morning.
Motorists were prohibited form making a left-hand turn onto Valley Road from MacDonald Drive.
Valley Road coming from Riverview Drive was closed, while the road heading toward Riverview Drive was open.

Department of Public Works (DPW) officials could not be reached for comment Thursday night.
DPW personnel were using a backhoe to clear the area where the water main broke. They said Valley Road would probably remain closed until midnight or 2 a.m. Friday morning.
