Army Vet, 76, Dies on Christmas Day

Funeral services for Franklin V. Kelly will be held Monday morning.

Franklin V. Kelly, age 76, went home to be with the Lord on Christmas Day.  Mr. Kelly was born August 19, 1937 in Paterson, the son of the late Frances J. and the late Elizabeth (Vande Kieft) Kelly.  He lived in Wayne and was formerly of Hawthorne and Totowa.  He was a US Army veteran.  Mr. Kelly retired from Lakeview Farms, Hawthorne, in 2002 where he was a delivery person for 30 years. He attended Grace Bible Church in Hawthorne. 

Mr. Kelly is survived by his beloved wife Isabel P. (Martinez) Kelly; his loving sons Norm and his wife Pat Hunt, Bob and his wife Florence Hunt, Stephen Hunt, and Daniel and his wife Nicole Hunt; his cherished grandchildren David, Corinne, Christopher, Nicole, Ryan, Michelle, Jonathan, Josiah, Victoria, Cynthia and Tiffany, and great-grandchildren, Dylan and Marissa; his dear sister Betty Zittel, and his caring nieces and nephew Beth Ann, Becky, Kelly, Faith, Linda, Juan, and Jamie.  He was predeceased by his brother, John. 

 Visiting hours were held Sunday.

The funeral will be Monday at 10 a.m. at the funeral home and will be celebrated by Pastor Donald Harris.

 Interment will be in Laurel Grove Memorial Park, Totowa.
