Prepare Skin and Hair for Winter

Don't suffer another winter with dry skin and hair---take action now to stay hydrated and beautiful.

Dry hair and skin are commons problems as the winter weather approaches, but pre-emptive professional and home care can prevent problems before they get out of control.  Some of the easiest preventative measures you can take are staying hydrated by drinking plenty of fluids and using a good quality moisturizer consistantly. Fair skin is more fragile and requires heavier weight ingredients like shea butter to form a  protective barrier and lock moisture in. A great one to try is DE Revitalizing Hand and Body Lotion with Organic Shea butter.  Applying it to slightly damp skin helps it to penetrate and protect.  Treat specific body areas with specialized products such as gel heel socks and gel gloves and prevent painful cracking.  Apply a generous amount of lotion and put on the heel socks and gel gloves for a relaxing night , wake to silky smooth heels and hands. Always moisturize before bed as nightime is when we experience out highest moisture loss from our skin.

Leave in conditioners are a great tool for keeping hair hydrated and static free. Bumble and bumble Leave In Rinse Out is great for fine hair and DE Wearable Treatment is effectively hydrating for coarse, dry hair.

Fall is the time to get expert advise from your skin care specialist and stylist in your product selection for long winter months.  A hydrating facial  and a deep conditioning hair treatment will jump start your regime.  Planning your professional treatments in advance  will help you maintain your skin and hair care and stay hydrated  and beautiful.
