Proceeds from event will help team participating in Avon Walk for Breast Cancer next year.

A special Zumbathon charity event will be held later this month. Proceeds from the event will be donated to help fund breast cancer research.

Monica Buononato, a Wayne resident, and her cousins will host the Zumbathon at Our Lady of the Valley R.C. Church on Sunday, Oct. 27. Buononato’s team, The Boobie Brigade, will participate in the Avon Walk for Breast Cancer in Washington, D.C. in May. Proceeds will benefit the walk.  A raffle with door prizes will be held.

Admission costs $15 if purchased in advance, $20 at the door, and $10 for kids. Donations include three raffle tickets and a bottle of water. Doors open at 4 p.m., Zumba will begin at 4:30 p.m.
