Fundraising Campaign Fuels Woman's Call to Ministry Abroad

Donna Nelson put her faith in GoFundMe to help her fulfill her stated lifelong dream to do volunteer missionary work—and her prayers were answered.

On Dec. 3, the Wayne resident started a campaign on the donation site to help her fund a trip to Guatemala as part of a Frontlines Missions ministry team. There, she plans to "help ... bring medical needs, construct buildings and teach the poor and needy who have no other options." Her goal was to raise $2,600.

As of Thursday, she has just gone over: The campaign has generated $2,670 in donations.
