Fitness Studio Helping Woman with Breast Cancer

Femme Fit holding fundraiser for local woman who needs a double mastectomy.

The owner of Femme Fit is holding Glisten for a Cure Saturday, a fundraiser to help a client who was diagnosed with breast cancer.

“The woman we are trying to help, she doesn’t know how much treatment she’ll need,” said owner Jessica Sanchez. “She’s really going through a rough time and I just thought we should be there for her. She faces several unknowns in her future such as chemotherapy, a double mastectomy, and the worry of how she’s going to finance it all.”

Tanja Scherle, a Riverdale resident, is a single mother of two boys. She has had two surgeries already this year.
