Free Legal Workshop on Divorce and Separation

Wayne, NJ.  Women in Transition(WIT) is offering a FREE Legal Education Workshop on Wednesday, February 27th from 12:30-2:30 pm. It is open to all women in Passaic County and neighboring towns who are considering separation or divorce. Get the information you need to make better decisions regarding your rights and your financial future. Learn why doing a credit check on yourself and knowing about your health insurance rights after divorce is important. Other topics include recent updates to family law, alimony and child support, and the mediation process.


WIT is also offering a Separation and Divorce Support Group starting Wednesday January 9th 12:30-2 please call Women In Transition at 973-694-9215 to register for all workshops. Educational workshops and support groups are held at Wayne Counseling & Family Services at 1022 Hamburg Turnpike, Wayne. Women In Transition assists women who need to re-enter the workforce due to separation, divorce, or the death or disability of a spouse, resulting in the loss of their primary source of financial support.  WIT is funded by the State of New Jersey, Department of Children and Families, and offers vocational testing, job readiness classes, separation and divorce support groups, and computer training at no cost for eligible women.

Wayne Counseling & Family Services (973-694-1234) provides counseling for drug and alcohol abuse and treatment for marital, family, and mental health problems.
