Critical Blood Shortage . Blood Drive

New Jersey's urgent blood 
shortage is back and humans
the only source!

Your one pint of blood can save three lives - yet New Jersey with the lowest         
percentage of donors nationwide (3.2% vs 5%) is the only state to import blood - over 34,000 pints per year.  (www.state.nj.us/health/njsave3lives/centers)

Whether from being unaware, winter sojourns, an aging society or healthier living - New Jersey is in urgent need of blood! Every 2.5 seconds someone needs blood - please donate      

  • Jan. 19th - 11:30 to 5pm  
  • Packanack Community Church, 120 Lake Drive East, Wayne

joins with Community Blood Services of Paramus - collecting blood for 50 yrs. ensures giving blood is easy, safe and saves lives.  Allow one hour for every effort has been made to simplify registration, screening and donation takes ten (10) minutes.

Donors must be in good health, weigh over 110 lbs. and between 16 to 75+ yrs. (16 yrs. w/parents written permission and 75+ yrs. w/doctor's written permission).  Before donating eat well and drink plenty of water before and after. Light snacks provided.

In Aug. 2012 Packanack Community Church joined forces with other churches in Wayne to start an Interfaith Blood Drive.  Robust efforts drew 86 donors and again, in 2013 they collected 164 pints of blood.  'Working together works!' 

Heads up:  look for February blood drives at St. Timothy Evangelical Lutheran Church and Seventh Day Adventist Church.
