Mayor, Council Candidates will Answer Questions at Forum

Another forum for county, state, and sheriff's candidates will also be held.

The League of Women Voters of Wayne Township will sponsor two candidates’ forums this month.

The candidates for Wayne mayor, Chris Vergano and Jane Hutchinson, and the town council will make their case for votes on Wednesday, Oct. 23 in the Wayne council chamber beginning at 7 p.m.

At large Republican council incumbents Joseph Schweighardt, Lonni Miller Ryan, and James Jimenez are running for re-election to three-year terms. They are facing off against Democrats Bethania Marranzini-Marmolejo, Victor Alfieri, and James Jorgensen.
