Judge Removes 1st Ward Candidate From November Ballot

Jacqueline Pisatowski has not lived in the 1st Ward for a year.

Jacqueline Pisatowski's name has been removed from the ballot for the 1st Ward race because she has not lived in the ward for a full year.

State Superior Court Judge Thomas Brogan said last week he believed Pisatowski’s claim that she simply wasn’t aware of the one-year residency requirement, NorthJersey.com reported.

Pisatowski, an independent, was running against Democrat Gary Marchese and incumbent Republican Richard Jasterzbski. The winner will serve the rest of Alan Purcell’s term, which expires in 2015. She helped found the Wayne Republican Party for the People, a political organization billed an as alternative to the Wayne Regular Republican Organization.
