Board of Ed. Candidates will Answer Questions Tuesday

Six vying for four seats.

The six Board of Education candidates will answer questions at a candidates’ night at the municipal complex from 7 to 8 p.m. on Tuesday, Oct. 8.

The candidates will be asked questions from members of the Wayne Council of Parent Teacher Organizations.

Trustees Allan Mordkoff, Robert Ceberio, and Mitchell Badiner and challenger Christian Smith will face off for three, three-year board terms.

Incumbent Rogger Ortiz will run for a one-year unexpired term against Cathy Kazan.

Kazan unsuccessfully ran for a three-year board seat last year.

Ortiz was appointed in February to replace former trustee Robyn Kingston. Kingston resigned from the board in January and moved to Texas.

The event will be broadcast on cable channel 77 and online.
