The six Board of Education candidates outlined their reasons for running in the November election.
Incumbents Mitchell Badiner, Alan Mordkoff, and Robert Ceberio are running against challenger Christian Smith for three, three-year terms.
Incumbent Rogger Ortiz is running against challenger Cathy Kazan for a one-year unexpired term. Ortiz was appointed to former trustee Robyn Kingston's seat after Kingston resigned earlier this year.
