Why Go: Rutgers Master Gardeners of Passaic County will have houseplants, herbs, shrubs, trees, vegetable transplants, bedding plants and perennials for sale.

Preakness Volunteer Fire Co. No. 5 Holding Yard Sale

“Jungle Book” is on stage in West Milford.

Where/When: Friday, May 13 at 8 p.m. and Sunday, May 15 at 2 p.m. at the Hillcrest Community Center, 1810 Macopin Road in West Milford.

Why Go:  A show for the whole family. “Jungle Book” is about a child who loses his way in the jungle and is saved by a tiger and raised by wolves.

“Remember Then” is tribute show to the 1950s and 1960s

Where/When: Friday, May 13 at 8 p.m. and Sunday, May 15 at 2 p.m. at the  Smiling Rhino Theatre, 1247 Wanaque Ave in Pompton Lakes.

Why Go: “Remember Then” is a tribute to the groups of men and women of the 1950s and 1960s.

Charity Garage Sale

Where/When: Saturday, May 14 at 3 Hamburg Turnpike in Riverdale. The sale begins at 9 a.m..

Why Go: All proceeds go to the care of cats for PATCH, a cat/kitten shelter located in Pompton Plains.

Pricing: Based on what merchandise is purchased.

Family Fun Day in Morris Plains

Where/When: Saturday, May 14 from 12:30 to 4 p.m. at The Stickley Museum at Craftsman Farms, 2352 Route 10 West in Morris Plains.

Why Go: Pony rides, cakewalks, games, maypole dancing, stilts, a bubble station, races, and much more fun for the family.

Pricing: $5 for member children, $7 non-member children, $7 adults (Admission includes all activities and entry into the Stickley Museum open house)
