83 Out of 100, that is not great. Also one of the highest taxed in the state/country.

The flooding last year have reduced the property values. Businesses have been steadily moving out of here. Also, the Township has a history of corruption. More people are looking to move out than to move in.

guess moneymag has not done any due diligence in court judgments against the township from poor council decisions that got the taxpayers sued?

It's nice to be on this list but it seems hollow in some ways. Wayne was ranked by CNN Money as #83 in the top 100 small cities in America, defined by population over 50,000. So let's not get too crazy about the ranking as it isn't the 83rd best community overall in the U.S. Even so, it's still nice to be recognized, even though Wayne might not even rank in the top 15 towns in a 3 county area around here, let alone the entire state.

Good solid schools. active parents trying to raise their kids, nice homes, communities and neighbors. Clean. And pretty attractive. High mtn reservation, good transportation, balanced economy. some governance problems but overall a nice place to live

It always surprises me how people look at where you live or work and have a half empty outlook. Scondo I think summed it up nicely. Consider we live in the most congested part of the country Wayne is pretty good. It could always be better and could be worse. I am a glass half full person myself. To be in the top 100 of all the towns that are out there is pretty darn good.

O Personal crime incidents per 1,000 residents ? Guess all those break-ins were just a figment of my imagination.Medium commute time is 23 minutes ? Maybe in an airplane , but not on Hamburg Turnpike. Not even going to touch the car insurance. Who and where do these people come from. Not Wayne, that's for sure !!!!!!
