Wayne Day is June 9, Volunteers Needed

Find out the latest regarding one of the most popular events in town via a homepage the town created.

The annual Wayne Day, one of the biggest, most attended events of the year, is Sunday, June 9 from 11 a.m. to 5 p.m.

Thousands of people pack the field at Wayne Valley High School for the annual family-friendly event.

There is always a full-slate of carnival-like games, exhibits, and musical performances. There were inflatable bouncing plays areas for kids and members of the Wayne Volunteer Fire Department and the First Aid Squad demonstrated how the “jaws of life” are used to extract someone from a car at previous events.

Dozens of local organizations, houses of worship, and businesses run stations and give away information throughout the day.

Volunteers are needed to help during the event. If interested call Russ Schubert at 973-694-1800 ext. 3376.
