Water Main Break Closes Newark Pompton Turnpike
Department of Public Works personnel working to repair the damage.
Newark Pompton Turnpike was closed between Black Oak Ridge Road and Packanack Lake Road Wednesday due to a water main break.
The break occurred Wednesday morning at about 9 a.m.. Work crews were on scene Wednesday morning attempting to fix the damage.
Heather Fitz-Del Rio, the township's water and sewer superintendent, could not be reached for comment.
