Victims of 9/11 will be Remembered at County Memorial Service

Ceremony will be held at Public Safety Academy Sept. 8.

A memorial service to remember individuals who died in the 9/11 terrorist attacks will be held at the Passaic County at 7 p.m. on Thursday, Sept. 8.

County officials, police, firefighters, Emergency Medical Service personnel and veterans are scheduled to attend the event. 

The Passaic County Board of Chosen Freeholders is sponsoring the event.

Wayne residents Robert Deraney, Jean Caviasco DePalma, Daniel Afflitto, Paul Acquaviva, Barry Glick, Leo Roberts and Gregg John Froehner died, along with nearly 3,000 others, in the terrorist attacks on Sept. 11, 2001.

The academy is located at 300 Oldham Road in Wayne.
