Town Hosting Rabies Clinic Soon

Residents may also purchase a license for their cat or dog at the event.

There will be a free rabies clinic for cats and dogs on Tuesday, Nov. 13 from 6 to 8 p.m..

Proof of a 2012 pet license will be required to participate. Residents can license their pet at the clinic.

Licenses costs $8 for neutered and spayed cats, $15 for non-neutered and non-spayed.

A license for a neutered or spayed dog will cost $13.20, $16.20 for non-neutered or non-spayed dogs.

All pets must be accompanied by an adult and leashed or kept in a carrier while at the clinic.

The clinic will be held at the township garage on Dey Road.

For next year, the health department will no longer be mailing dog and cat license renewals.

Reminder notices will be sent electronically for the 2013 licensing year. Residents should send an e-mail address to mehtas@waynetownship.com.

This is not so much a rabies clinic as it is a means to secure payment of the license fee.
