T-Mobile: 'We'll Move Forward' with Applications Once Analysis is Complete

Cell phone service provider issues statement regarding applications.

T-Mobile has issued a statement regarding its withdrawal of five applications to construct cell phone service antennas in the township.

"T-Mobile is committed to keeping families in Wayne Township connected," Jane Builder, northeast manager for external affairs for T-Mobile USA said in the statement. "At the township's request, our engineers are performing an additional analysis of the sites' coverage objectives. Once complete, we'll move forward with the applications that deliver the biggest service improvement to local families. We look forward to working with the community to improve service for friends, families, and businesses throughout the area."

T-Mobile's attorney, Frank Ferraro, sent a letter dated April 11 to the township regarding T-Mobile's intention to withdraw the applications "without prejudice."

T-Mobile will draft a comprehensive report containing the analysis. The report will address "all issues for all the sites," the letter states.  RCC Consultants, a telecommunications consulting firm, will review the report.

Once reinstated, the applications "shall continue" from the "point where they left off," the letter states.
