T.J. Olsen Has 'Long and Unpredictable' Road Ahead

Infant had 'successful' heart surgery to correct a life-threatening defect.

T.J. Olsen, the infant son of Greg Olsen, is doing well, but the surgeon who performed the open-heart surgery cautioned that the infant’s recovery would be “long and unpredictable,” the Herald Oline.com reported.

T.J. was born Oct. 9 with a condition known as hypoplastic left heart syndrome. The left side of the 1-week-old’s heart never fully developed while the baby was in utero. He was diagnosed when he was in utero. T.J. and his sister Talbot were born via C-section earlier this month.

T.J.’s twin sister Talbot was brought home a few days ago.
