Special Parents Association to Hold Workshop

The workshop will teach children how to ride a bike.

The Special Parents Association of the PTO will offer a 7-week cultural workshop to teach special needs children how to ride a bike.

The workshop will focus on bike management, balance and coordination, pedaling and stopping, vision and perception and safety. Participants will be able to ride without training wheels by the time spring comes.

The workshop, held every Saturday, starts Jan. 21 and ends March 10. It is held at Packanack Lake Elementary School in the gymnasium.

Participants can go to session one, which is noon to 1 p.m., or session two, which is 1 p.m. to 2 p.m. Enrollment is $190, which is due on Jan. 21. Parent participation is required, and participants must bring their own bikes and helmets.
