NJ Transit Considering Eliminating No. 75 Bus Route

Commuters going between Route 23 Transit Center and Butler might lose their only busing option.

NJ Transit is considering eliminating the No. 75 bus route that runs through Wayne, Pompton Lakes, Wanaque, and Little Falls on its way to Newark in an effort to cut annual costs by $340,000, NorthJersey.com reported.

NJ Transit said about 28 people utilize the route from the Wayne Transit Center, on Route 23 to Butler. Those people would not have another bussing option between the two locations.

Buses on the route also stop at the  and the Willowbrook Mall Park and Ride facility.

The No. 75 bus route was included among 10 other routes that were announced to possibly be modified to save NJ Transit a projected $3 million.
