Shelter to Open at Kilroy Park Clubhouse

Residents may begin arriving at 6 p.m.

Wayne Township has opened a shelter in the clubhouse at Kilroy Park, 6 Concord Place.

People in need of shetler may arrive there after 6 p.m. Thursday. Volunteers are needed to provide shelter management and meals.

The Red Cross is offereing a 2-hour training session at 2 p.m. in health room number 2 in the municipal complex.

Persons in need of a place to stay temporarily during the day can use the Wayne Police Athletic League's building.

The Wayne YMCA is opening up their showers to anyone who does not have hot water in their homes. Adults and children younger than 18, who must be accompanied by an adult, will need to produce photo identification. The showers are avaiable Saturday and Sunday, 7 a.m. to 6 p.m., Monday 8 a.m. to 2 p.m. and Tuesday 5:30 a.m. to 9 p.m.
