School District Extends Memorial Day Break
Schools will be closed the Friday before and the Tuesday after Memorial Day.
The school district’s Memorial Day break will be a few days longer than planned.
Two unused emergency days will be added to the school district calendar. Schools will now be closed on Friday, May 24, and Tuesday, May 28, an announcement on the school district website states.
Schools will reopen on Wednesday, May 29.

The district used all of its allotted emergency days during superstorm Sandy last fall. However, school was held on Election Day and when the statewide teachers’ convention was supposed to occur.
