Knitting Group will Meet at Library Tonight

Wayne has plenty to offer today, Thursday, March 3, so let’s take a look at what’s going on.
- The Wayne Board of Education will hold its regular public work session at 7 p.m. at the municipal complex. The public is invited to attend. The board will be discussing the budget for the 2011-12 school year.
- The Wayne Health Department will host a free peripheral vascular disease screening from 9:30 a.m. to 11:30 p.m. The event is open to Wayne Township residents. Registration is suggested. Call 973-694-1800, ext. 3241.

- Heitor Villa-Lobos, who has been described as “the single most significant creative figure in twentieth-century Brazilian art music” will be celebrated at William Paterson University's at 12:30 p.m. William Paterson University students are free, and suggested donation for non-students is $5.
- The Wayne Hills High School boys and girls basketball teams will compete in the first round of the NJSIAA tournament at 7 p.m. on the road.
