Knitting Group will Meet at Library Tonight

Free peripheral vascular disease screening available.

Wayne has plenty to offer today, Thursday, March 3, so let’s take a look at what’s going on.

  1. The Wayne Board of Education will hold its regular public work session at 7 p.m. at the municipal complex. The public is invited to attend. The board will be discussing the budget for the 2011-12 school year.
  2. The Wayne Health Department will host a free peripheral vascular disease screening from 9:30 a.m. to 11:30 p.m. The event is open to Wayne Township residents. Registration is suggested. Call 973-694-1800, ext. 3241.
  3. The Keep You in Stitches Knit and Crochet Group will meet at the from 6 to 8 p.m. Everyone from beginners to experts are welcome. The group will gather in meeting room B. For more information, contact keepyou_institches@yahoo.com or visit the group’s Yahoo! Page by clicking here.
  4. Heitor Villa-Lobos, who has been described as “the single most significant creative figure in twentieth-century Brazilian art music” will be celebrated at William Paterson University's  at 12:30 p.m. William Paterson University students are free, and suggested donation for non-students is $5.
  5. The Wayne Hills High School boys and girls basketball teams will compete in the first round of the NJSIAA tournament at 7 p.m. on the road.
