Veterans Gather for Wreath Laying Ceremony at American Legion Post

Boy Scouts, Girl Scouts, and veterans create cards for military personnel in Afghanistan.

Members of American Legion Post 174 and local Boy Scouts and Girl Scouts honored members of the military with a somber ceremony at the legion's hall Saturday morning.

Wreaths were laid in memory of all the veterans of the various military braches in front of the hall. Similar ceremonies were held across the country Saturday.

Scouts and veterans created more than 100 Christmas cards during a special breakfast before the ceremony. The cards will be sent to soliders in Afghanistan.
