Residents to be Honored for Advocating for the Disabled

Individuals will receive the Champions for Disabilities Award next week.

Three residents and a non-profit organization from Wayne will receive Champions for Disabilities Awards for their work in advocating for people with disabilities.

Donna Parisi, Gary Stack, Linda Wilson, and the Wayne Special Parents Association will receive their awards next week.

The award is designed to honor those who have significantly advanced the cause of people with disabilities or who have spearheaded efforts that recognize the potential of disabled individuals.

Thirteen awards will be given out. The program is run through a partnership between the Passaic County Freeholder Board, the Passaic County Advisory Council on Disability, and the Workforce Investment Board of Passaic County.
