Resident Charged with Sexually Abusing Girl

A long-serving Essex County Sheriff’s Officer from Wayne was charged Thursday with sexually abusing a juvenile girl and family friend.

Thomas Ingham, 48 was charged with one count of sexual assault and the alleged touching of a child under the age of 13.

School officials confirmed that Carol Dipasquale dropped out of the Board of Education election. Five candidates, including two incumbents, remain on the ballot. 

Turbine Applicant to Receive $220K

Rob Burke will receive $220,000 as part of a settlement agreement with the township to construct a wind turbine at his business, Wayne Auto Spa.

6 Church Members Arrested in Jersey City

Six Christians who attend church in Wayne were arrested for evangelizing in a park in Jersey City recently.

The six people are members of Bread of Life Fellowship, an independent group of believers that meets for regular Bible studies in North Jersey homes. The group meets at Calvary Gospel Church for Sunday services.
