Resident Appointed to National Golf Course Superintendents Association Board

John O'Keefe is director of golf course management at the Preakness Hills Country Club. He also helps to foster sustainability though his position on the Environmental Institute for Golf's board.

John O’Keefe, a Wayne resident, has been selected to the executive board of the Golf Course Superintendents Association of America.

O’Keefe has been director of golf course management at the Preakness Hills County Club since 1986.

O’Keefe serves on the board of the Environmental Institute for Golf, which helps to foster sustainability through research, awareness, education, programs, and scholarships to help benefit golf facilities and the game of golf.

O’Keefe is a recipient of the Sherwood Moore Award for professional distinction. He’s served as president of the Metropolitan Golf Course Superintendents Association and the Tri-State Turfgrass Foundation.
