Lock Your Vehicles, Wayne Police Warn

Residents urged not to leave their vehicles unlocked and running in their driveways.

The police department is urging residents to not keep their cars unlocked and unattended while warming them up in their driveways.

The department issued a warning on the Wayne Township website Friday morning. 

The warning stated that two vehicles that were stolen out of driveways in Cedar Grove. The vehicles were unlocked and unattended, the warning stated.

Residents are urged to use an automatic starter or have a second set of keys available and keep the vehicle locked as it is warming up.

Residents should report any suspicious information to the police department at 973-694-0600.
