Plant Sale At Laurelwood Will Be Held May 12

Friends of Laurelwood Arboretum hosting annual event.

The Friends of Laurelwood Arboretum (FOLA) will host its annual plant sale on Saturday, May 12 from 9 a.m. to 3 p.m.

Woodland plants, azaleas, and other popular annuals, perennials, and some speical plants grown at the Arboretum will be avaialble to purchase. 

Gardener Sara McHugh will artfully arrange plants in any container than an attendee brings. FOLA will also sell baked goods and a variety of garden-related items.

Proceeds from the event will go towards FOLA, a nonprofit organization that works to preserve and maintain the Arboretum. 

Laurelwood is a 30-acre facility located in at 725 Pines Lake Drive West in the Pines Lake area of Wayne.

In May, plants, trees, and shurbs of various colors, textures, and aromas are in bloom at the facility. Dozens of native dogwood and oakleaf trees, climbing hydrangeas, daylilies, lilacs, irises, and other plants will be flowering as well.

FOLA membership costs $25.
