Pines Lake Plan, Superfund Site Removal, New Spa Opens

Here are some of the stories we're working on this week at Wayne Patch.

Here is a sample of what we’re working on this week at Wayne Patch.

  • We’ll let you know if the Planning Board approves or denies an application that would allow a couple who own lake-front property in Pines Lake to subdivide the property and build another home on the new lot.

Neighbors say that the application, if approved, would set a bad precedent.

  • Also, we’ll let you know if the Planning Board votes to carry an application that calls for the rebuilding of the Wayne Town Center on Route 23 South.

The application was slated to be heard last month, but the applicant, made a similar request, which the board approved. We’ll let you know what the board decides.

  • The U.S. Environmental Protection Agency is scheduled to announce the removal of a Superfund property from the National Priorities List this week.

The township is planning to construct a dog park and playground on the property, which is located at the Intersection of Black Oak Ridge Road and Pompton Plains Crossroad.

We’ll attend the announcement and let you know what officials have to say about the news.

  • We’ll talk to the owners of Hand and Stone Massage & Facial Spa.

An official grand opening ceremony was held at the business on Sunday.

We’ll let you know what services the business offers and why they chose to open their business up in Wayne.
